Hats off to the Class of 2020, who were selected in 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, were not able to participate until this year. The participants should be commended for their patience, determination and willingness to be a part of the program, even as lock downs of 2020 sidelined their activities altogether and health concerns surrounding re-opening and new variants, prevented them from meeting consistently in 2021. Through it all they have stayed the course and shown tremendous flexibility and great leadership already!
They will be joining the Class of 2022 and together, the two classes will complete their journey through leadership when they graduate in November!

March and April sessions help forge strong bonds
Starting March 22, the classes will get together for Team building at the U.S. Whitewater Center. Problem-solving and strategizing activities on a crisp, spring morning are the perfect way to break the ice and get to know each other. The backdrop of tall pines, overlooking roaring rapids effectively takes participants out of the office, out of the city and out of their comfort zones in order to understand themselves and learn more about each other.
In April the Class of 20-22 will meet with the team at Interact Studios. There they will truly connect, engage and be inspired to understand how to communicate effectively and authentically. Interact Studios takes public-speaking to the next level and helps participants communicate with transparency and authenticity in order to have a greater impact, whether in one-on-one conversations or on a bigger stage.
And this is only the beginning. In May they will engage with REBIC and our Government Affairs team, which usually gets everyone super-charged and ready to “get on the bus” and convene with hundreds of Realtors® across the state in Raleigh, NC for Legislative Day activities in June. With graduation in late November, the class will cover new ground each month. Follow their leadership journey and activities on social media; there’s a whole lot more in-store for the Class of 20-22!
The class will also receive a combined President’s Challenge from 2022 President Lee Allen and David Kennedy, 2021 past president that provides the class with an opportunity to take a deep dive into an issue and present their creative ideas and solutions.
Watch for these rising stars!
